I am being charged for services that I never received from Ohio State Medical Center.
I was told by their billing department that I was at their hospital on January 27th, for lab work. I have never set foot in this hospital.
I made an appointment at their James Cancer Clinic for January 7th. I cancelled this appointment over 24 hours before the 7th. I did not set a new appointment due to lack of transportation.
Why am I being billed for 'lab work' on the 27th.
I am not surprised by the actions of this hospital.
Sometime during May of this year, I watched a local news program in which a doctor at this hospital 'blew the whistle' on OSU for claiming that patients who had pap smear tests were falsely stated positive for cancer when they were not. One can only imagine what this was about. This doctor claims that he is being punished for bringing this matter to the attention of his superiors.
About 35 years ago a hospital in another state fraudulently billed Medicaid on my behalf for thousands of dollars for uterine cancer treatment that I never received. I believe that this problem with corrupt hospitals is rampant throughout this country.
If there is an attorney out there that can help with this matter, I would appreciate contacting "consumer complaints"
