Over a period of about 10 days, Orchard Park Veterinary Hospital failed to diagnose my dog's ruptured appendix.instead, they insisted he had a "stomach bug" and sent him home even though he was still actively vomiting and unable to eat. At one point they even refused to take him back and told me to "keep an eye on him." When my own vet came back from vacation, he diagnosed the condition over the phone merely by my describing the symptoms. At that point OPVMH performed an ultrasound and told me to euthanize my dog because he had pancreatitis. I took my dog out of the hospital after much badgering from them and my own vet performed life-saving surgery. They have refused to return my money and have lied in correspondence to my veterinarian and the credit card company about what they told me, what their diagnosis was, and what they recommended. I believe they have also tampered with the medical records because the report does not correspond to what they told me the ultrasound showed.
Since my experience, I have literally had more than a dozen people tell me similar hair-raising stories, and especially about being badgered to spend money on tests and treatments with no value. Local veterinarians have also told me that they no longer tell their patients to go there on off hours, but to either call them directly or seek the assistance of another emergency clinic.
Stay away!!
