When my husband, whose insurance we were on, got laid off this spring we could simply not afford to pay over $1000 a month for Cobra. After checking out several companies, Cinergy seemed to be the best plan for our budget; at least we would get 'something' out of it.
Since August - six months ago - three claims that they are legally supposed to pay have gone completely unignored. When I email then, the blow me off to customer service by phone. When I call Customer Service, they keep me on hold for close to an hour each time, and then give me what is quite literally 'lies and goobeldy-gook anwers'.
I was also charged a $50 Registraation fee to join. Needless to say after six weeks of the runaround by them - it's like they are actually having FUN playing 'We Don't Really Pay Claims; We Just Keep Playing Musical Patients, Pawning You Off On Someone Else Who is Just as Useless as the last person.'
I have creditors now coming after ME for money they are legally obligated to pay per my contract with them.
Yes, I would VERY MUCH like to hear from an attorney, etc. They are absolutely nothing but one of the same garbagy, rip-off companies who promise so much, and then - Good Luck Getting a Dime From. The FTC needs to shut them down! If they have ripped you off, please file a formal complaint with the FTC - they have the power to shut them down. Also file complaints with the BBB in Aventura, FL; The FL State's Attorney General's office and your as well as theirs Department of Consumer Affairs.
