I purchased what was described as an interferential stimulator with a Russian 'stim' setting, the IF-4000, primarily for the Russian 'stim' modality, only to find out that it has NO SUCH SETTING. I requested my money back, to which they responded, with some hostility, that although the documentation and technical specifications and the manufacturer all stated unequivocally that this device is in no way capable of the Russian modality, that they would not return all of my money.
The 'President/CEO' of Medical Products Online responded to one of my initial emails on Saturday Nov. 15 to deny that they had falsely advertised the product and insisted that, contrary to the documentation, technical specifications, the manufacturer, and several other retailers I spoke with, that the device has a hidden and undocumented Russian 'stim' setting. This is NOT TRUE, as is evidenced by the sources listed above. I persisted, and throughout the week was either responded to dismissively or with hostility.
By the time they finally agreed to take back the device I had very little trust regarding their business practices and requested that they schedule pickup after refunding my money. They refused, and insisted that I would have to pay return shipping and a restocking fee, and wait 30 days for my refund, even though they had clearly misled and even lied to my about the product, which I only purchased because it was falsely advertised.
