I had urgently needed a cast protector when my very small child broke her arm. I went to a local store named Medical Supply Superstore in Corona, and paid DEARLY (31.25 inc tax) for a glorified plastic bag to fit over the arm/cast. I was more than willing to pay this ungodly amount if it meant my child's cast was protected. I knew it was just a heat-seamed arm shaped piece of plastic with a hole on one end (not the fancier rubber seal types you see), but whatever, my kid's too important to NOT pay the big money for a lousy plastic bag.
That is, until we actually used it that night. We gingerly pulled it over her cast, then tape-sealed it to her arm with waterproof medical tape. All was well, until we took it off, and it basically fell apart at the seams, literally. It's not like I fully expected it to last the duration of the cast (4 weeks), but I sure wasn't prepared for it to FALL APART after 1 night.
I of course, returned it to the no-refunds store, and they were happy to NOT refund my 30 dollars.
