ABC Financial is responsible for the direct withdrawals for Legacy Fitness in Bluffton, SC. My fiancee and I have memberships to be withdrawn on the 9th of every month.
Last month they charged me service fees, stating that the funds for our memberships were unavailable in my account. I called my banker, and this turned out to be untrue, the funds were there on that date.
Frustrated, I attempted to cancel our memberships under the "13th month" clause of my contract. I had just paid for my 13th month, thus according to the contract able to cancel.
They instructed me to fax notices of cancellation, which I did.
Then they told me that the owner of the gym had to call and cancel the membership. Which he did, twice.
Today I pull up my bank account and guess what? They took the monies out of my account for this month.
I called ABC, they said that they had no notice of cancellation in their computer from John, the owner of Legacy. They refused to give me my cancellation number.
Once these people get their hooks in your bank account they do not let go, and they will try to rip you off with fees that you never agreed to or were made aware of.
Be very careful.
