Dear Sir/Madam,
After changing my job as a postdoctoral fellow from Georgetown University to KT Consulting Inc in Maryland, USA, I have purchased a family plan from National Alliance of Associations on 1st December. Since then whenever I went to doctor's visit for myself or my family members I paid the office visit (co-payment) from my part immediately in doctor's office.
But since last couple of months I keep on receiving due payment notices from different doctor's offices whereever I have been during that time. I tried to contact them and after lot of effort I got hold of one of their representative named TISHA and explained her about all the problems I am facing. She told me to write down everything and send it along with the bills by fax to them and provided the fax no. On, 16th April I have sent the fax but never got any reply either by phone, fax or by email.
I had to pay my family insurance myself and also paid the doctor's offict visit always at the right time. Recently I have tried to reach them again in the same no but after waiting for even half an hour no one response back. I feel quite helpless. At this situation if I have to pay all the balances in doctors offices myself, I won't be able to do so at anyway. I am the only earning member of my 4 members family with two little kids and my wife seating at home in H4B visa. While searching about this company in website I got to know about that usacomplaints.com and registered myself for the first time to put my complains.
Just recently (now almost 6 months from the date of my doctor visit, dated 01/03/08) I received another bill for non-payment. I always paid my monthly payment for the insurance and all the co-pay in the doctor's office in a very timely manner but if I have to pay all the balances of doctors office myself which NAA would have paid, I've to declare myself bankruptcy and go back to my own country India with a very bad economic situation. Moreover I've to just forget about my carrier in research which I have pursued for last 6 years in this country. Do I have any recourse? How should I proceed in order to get my claims covered? I have all the documents to prove that I have paid the insurance at the proper time and that I can prove from my bank staements in past months.
Thank you for any advice or insight you can provide. I need your assistance.
