I signed up with Melaleuca after seeing an ad online promising that moms will make extra income for their family. I went so far as to do the online "power point presentation" with other representatives in order to learn how to make the riches I was promise in the online ad.
I made my initial order then realized that an order would come out of my bank account even if I didn't order. To make any kind of a profit I would have to get people to sign up and make monthly orders from them, that would total more than I am paying... Monthly.
I emailed the woman who signed me up and asked how do I cancel my membership because I can't afford to make monthly payments. She instructed me to fax a letter stating this to Melaleuca before the 25th and that my membership will be cancelled. I did this, and (my fault) they said I didnt sign it and I needed to sign the letter. So I sent another one in and thought everything was taken care of.
Well I get an email today saying that my order has been shipped! I called them directly and I was told that faxed letters aren't a guarantee that my membership will be cancelled. Now I have to mail in a letter stating the exact same thing with my signature and all the information I sent in before.
My next step? Go to my bank to see if I can get the company blocked. Send in my letter by registered mail and contact my lawyer. I need my money, to pay my rent, feed my kids and pay bills. I cannot afford their over priced useless products.
