Don't go there for glasses Beaverton Oregon

I was required to pay the full $650 for my glasses up front. I used my credit card. When I went to pick up my glasses (expensive special order prescription), they were totally the wrong size. The frames were much bigger than the ones I had tried on. There was a sign on the counter this time (not when I paid) saying all sales were final. The guy who tried to fix the misfit of my new glasses totally screwed up - the frames looked like a pretzel by the time he was done, over an hour later. There was no way the glasses would work for me. He said he would get new frames. I left the glasses there. When asked, the dude said he had graduated optical school and had five years experience. I say, no way. I have been wearing glasses for nearly 50 years and have never seen such incompetence. Along with other garbage, he told me to cut my eyelashes (so they wouldn't scrap on the lenses). It wasn't just my eyelashes hitting the lenses - my eyelids, too. Even so - have you ever heard of such a thing? He didn't care about whether the glasses were useful to me, he just tried repeatedly to get me to leave with them.

I tried to call the owner of the place, Dr. Massih. I wanted to see about different frames and getting fitted by a more competent optician. She did not call back. My husband called and she did not call back. I called again and got another person, who said the frames would be impossible. The lenses would have to be reground for different frames. That to me meant the glasses would never be right. With my high prescription, I would have ended up sick. My husband finally reached Dr. Massih, who then said she would call back that evening and talk to both of us together. She never called back. The only person who would have worked with the "new" frames would have been the original incompetent jerk.

In the meantime, time was of the essence for me. My old glasses were fading fast and I really needed a new pair. Since Dr. Massih did not seem to be willing to fix the problem, I went to another optical place and purchased a pair of glasses - $600 this time. They're wonderful.

I also complained to my credit card company, CitiCards, and they temporarily suspended the charge. Beaverton Vision World then broke the law and mailed me the glasses without my authorization or request. The package was never opened and returned to them. I later learned that I could have kept the glasses for free because of Beaverton Vision World's mail fraud. I told all this to CitiCards and sent them all the proof I had. CitiCards has now put the charge back on my credit card, saying sorry, but because of Beaverton Vision World's no return policy, I get to pay for the glasses. I'm now going to have to hire an attorney to deal with CitiCards.

I just want to warn everyone else out there - Beaverton Vision World is not a professional place for eyeglasses. Also, has anyone else out there had problems with them? When I was there to pick up the glasses, there was a couple waiting out front who did not look happy. Dr. Massih does eye surgery, too. Any problems?

Thank you.
