Ripping off 81 year old lady who is on Hospice Care. Liars: Please don't use them

I am 81 years old and signed up for Humana in Dec. Of 2007 through my agent. This is easily remembered because we had a terriable flood here and I lost 100% of everything including my home that was swept off of it's foundation.

The second week of January I received my welcome packet and my Humana Drug card. I went to use my card the following week and the pharmycist said my card didn't work. I called my agent and he called Humana and said they had a glich but said it was all taken care of. I resubmitted my medications through the pharmacy but the card still said no good.

My agent again talked with the company and Humana said Oh the problem is that the start date and ending date are the same and it would be fixed by the end of the week. Thank goodness my Agent has all the recordings of the conversation.

So after my agent talks to them this time I promptly get a letter that states that my registration came in to late so now I can't have Insurance at all. Again I give this to my Agent who is getting really upset with these jerks and he calls them again.

My agent has called these people over 6 times in my behalf and everytime he does I get a letter stating a different reason that my insurance has been cancelled. The second letter I received Humana wanted to know what I intended to do with the check that they sent me for the Insurance that they paid me. The only thing wrong with this is that I never did receive a check and would like to challenge them to show proof that I got one. Of course I turned this over to my agent again and he talked to a so called higher up.

He was told that the wrong code was placed in the computer and they would have this cleared up by the end of the week. I just received another letter from Humana after my agent talked to them that Medicare & Medicaid Services just gave them word that I disenrolled from their plan. This is AGAIN A BOLD FACE LIE.

I called them this time and the lady on the phone said that my application was denied in December because it was filled out wrong. How do you fill a application wrong I asked her when my agent and I did this on his lap top with both of us together. She just said I don't know.

Todate I have the letters saying first I'm welcomed as a member. Then that I'm not a member as of 01/01/08. Another letter that says I'm not a member as of 02/01/08. Another letter that said they gave my money back. Another that says that Medicare gave them WORD that I dissenrolled.

When I go to my site with Medicare. Gov Humana as of today 05/18/08 is still listed with them as my part D drug plan. They will not pay for anything but they are keeping my money I'm now on Hospice end of life care, I'm 81 years old just sent 6 weeks in the hospital and came home to die in peace I hope. I have spent over $2000.00 out of pocket of my friends money who are graciously taking care of me at no expence because I only get very little Soc. Sec. Thank you Lord for my friend that I have known for almost 50 years.

We still can't afford all this medication and we know not which way to turn.

Is there any justice out there for Insurance Companys that Lie, Cheat, and Steal?
