I was getting married in 2005 so I decided to fix my gap tooth. I went to the regular dentist area at Western Dental since they had a special veneer program for someone like me who cannot afford to pay upfront.
I asked the Dentist at Western Dental if they can help close my gap before my wedding day. The Dentist needed to do an xray first and picture taken using polaroid, the Dentist said that it's too far of a gap to close without making me look like a horse. So they referred me to their ortho side of Western Dental that braces might help me. I have a current Dentist at a different location who has to approve if braces will be good for me. Okay, so after Westen Dental Orthodontist checked my teeth, he said that braces will take care of my gap. The assistant who works at Western Dental said that my current dentist will have to approve before they can give me braces. After they deliberated on the phone, the dentist said we are clear to go. They gave me the upper braces first and only half of the upper (not completely all the way to the back of my upper teeth, the lower area will be done supposedly a month later. 3 weeks having the upper braces, my gums started to react because the Dentist placed the braces way to high that it was hitting my gums. So I started having bad reactions and puss started to come out of my gums. I made an Appt., and the old Dentist at Western Dental was not happy about how the other Dentist placed the braces on my teeth, he even said right in front of me "This braces should have been placed a lot lower than where its at".."So we have to take it off". Taking it off mean I have to pay still until a surgery for my gums are completed. The front assistant acting as receptionist/finance counselor/Mgr., assistant said I'll just charge you 300.00 so I agreed. When I got the bill it was for $1100.00 and all of sudden they cannot find my chart and everything that was documented that I signed was missing. The 300.00 became 1100.00. I tried fighting this for a long time and had different Mgr's to complain to, regional Mgr. With the name of Ms. Carbajal and nothing was ever taking care of. They cannot find my chart but for some reason they have a bill recorded in their corporate.
Up to now, I am still fighting this and I think this company should be sued.
My daughter who is also a patient is very unhappy with their services, the people are incompetent who works there, hardly speaks english and the appt., is never what it seems. They tell you 8 am and they dont see you until 11:30am. They should all be sued for our time. They dont do a good job and they dont treat you right.
I want my money back.
