My Grandmother had surgery last year at this hospital, and was recently diagnosed with cancer, and also had a mass the size of a cantalope. How is it that she was in the hospital last year at St Joseph's Hospital, for a 6 hour surgery, yet neither the mass, or cancer were found? I would say a mass the size of the cantalope would be kind of hard to notice, even in it's beginning stages.
Earlier this month a hysterectomy was perfomed to remove the mass, as well as attempt to prevent reoccuring UTI's that had been a ongoing problem. This wonderful women, who is about to turn 80 years old, is now facing starting chemo therapy next month to fight cancer as well, what a great birthday present. How is that a woman her age went for a 6 hour surgery at St Joseph's Hospital, and this was over looked? Great job St Joseph's Hospital.
