Planetgenerics is a deceptive, fraudulent rip off!

I made an online purchase from Planetgenerics in May and the medication that I received was not what I ordered and paid for; what I received was a forgein medication in the form of clear capsules containing a white substance and packaged in a clear plastic baggie with no perscription label. This medication was clearly not the 90 37.5 phentermine blue and white tablets that I ordered and paid for; therefore, I requested a refund.

I completed the "Refund Form" as I was instructed to on 07/16/07. I received a "Refund Notification" email on 07/16/07, indicating that I had been given a refund in the amount $244.00, which was what I had paid for the inferior medication; however this amount did not get credited back to my account.

I called, wrote, and called some more to get the issue resolved, and Planetgenerics kept me in an ongoing dissatisfied cycle of one promised refund after another. They then promised order reshipments one after the other. The promised reshipments came about after I was getting no where securing the refund.

On 10/28/07, I finally told Planetgenerics that I was no longer interested in obtaining a refund; I simply wanted what I paid for, which was 90 37.5 phentermine tablets. I am afraid that I was looking to Planetgenerics to resolve the issue since they were who I initiated the transaction with.

As a result, I have been getting nothing but a run around from them for 8 months simply because I thought they would stand up and take responsibility. Every email guaranteed the delivery of my medication; their website guarantees satisfaction. They misled me with every email and telephone conversation that I have made to them to date.

Recently, I was told that I needed to contact the "merchant"; this was something that I could have and would have done long ago had Planetgenerics not misled me. Now, after contacting the "merchant", I am told that the best way to proceed is to contact my credit card company or bank that issued the card and see if they have a suggestion on how I may be able to recover this charge. I am told that due to the amount of time that has passed since the charge took place, the "merchante" is unable to do anything with this transaction.

Obviously, since the transaction took place in May the financial institution for the credit card that was used will deem this charge as undisputable due to the time that has elapsed; afterall, it has been 8 months!

I requested a mailing address for the purpose of filing a former complaint, and was told that email was the only contact method available. I requested a name and number upper management, and I was told that email was the only contact method available. I realize that $244 may not be a lot of money to some, but it is to me. I have never been in a position such as this before. Surely, I am not the only person who has found themselves in a "catch 22" such as this as a result of misreprenstation and extremely poor customer service. I want to warn other potential consumers so that they do not find themselves in this same position.
