Refund policy on the radio but largely ignored

I agree with the other reports I have seen on this site. I am not so happy with how this company handles requests for disconuing treatment. Unfortunately, for me, I am unhappy with the results of my treatment in a certain area of my body that I have signed on to treat. Each time I've had this area treated, I have discussed with the nurse that it was extremely painful for me several days after treatment; meaning I cannot even walk! The response is always the same—that's strange.

After backing off of treatments for about four months I noticed there are still lumps and bruises all over the treated area. I called in to discuss this and let them know I wanted to discontinue the treatment. The operator offered to let me use the sessions I had left with the velasmooth. Well, I can easily get velasmooth treatments close to home without a long commute, so I declined. So, she gladly took a message, but my call was never returned. I waited about two weeks and called again to let them know I wanted to discontinue the treatment and again they offered the velasmooth treatments as a solution. I explained again that I was not interested and this time they said my information needed to be passed on to some other department well, that department never called me back either.

I distinctly remember when I signed up, maybe in April or May of I was concered about the refund policy that they so often announced on the radio. The nurse that signed me up said not to worry, that although they didn't have the policy in writing yet (they were still working on it), they would honor it if need be. They seemed so sure that I'd just love my results it was a non-issue.

To be clear, I do not think the treatments on some of the other designated areas were a failure. I've been pleased with some of the results. My complaint is the non-responsive attitude when it comes to asking about discontinuing treatments and how they would handle that. I simply wanted to continue the areas I was happy with and drop the other. It was a little complicated because I had paid for 3 areas in full and have a balance on the other 2/3 areas. Ideally, I would like to just stop the treatments alltogether and leave them with the money I owe for the treatments I have to date. If there is some credit balance I'd love my money back. But, since that seems so complicated I decided to finish up treatment, I just don't want to pay any more money than I already have. I am not looking for something for free and I doubt the other women are either. I think this treatment just isn't effective for everybody or every part of the body.

And moreover, the way the pain after treatment is minimized is almost a crime. When someone comes in for a consultation, they should be told in no uncertain terms. It doensn't hurt when we inject you... But it is painful to recover— at least the first two to three days. Now that I know, I plan accordingly and I would have appreciated the honesty up front. You know what they say "beauty is painful" I can live with that, but to think you are going to walk away from these treatments with minimal discomfort is just a lie.
