Lens Doctor
Product Ripoff

Ordered Lens Doctor, product failed to arrive, tried to contact company, all phone numbers listed lead to an "Outsourcing" phone in India with the below letter to "Lens Doctor" the result of that phone call. There are no phone numbers in the Lens Doctor Web Site that actually lead to the company, but there is one suggested method below in my letter to them to cost "Lens Doctor" a little money if they have also ripped you off.

The Original Lens Doctor

Sirs,
My original intention this morning was to simply call your customer service number and check to see if my order to your firm for Lens Doctor had actually shipped, which led to Outsourcing hell.

If you are going to Outsource your Customer Service (Such as it isn't.) you should try to use a location, and/or person, that can actually speak English legibly as opposed to say flawless Hindu. Preferably without a male voice talking very loudly in the background on another phone at the same time as the young lady from India is trying to talk to you, thereby making her feeble attempts at speaking English without an unintelligible accent less than productive.

I despise the entire concept of Outsourcing, don't care about the Financial Advantage, and if at all possible always try to never use firms that use outsourcing. (Difficult nowadays, but not impossible.) Yours is particularly bad at handling the job and if my order had not already shipped I would cancel it and not use your products again. Lens Doctor Rx isn't worth the frustration of ordering it.

Your other so-called contact numbers on your web site are totally worthless, leading only to a remarkably stupid and repetitive voice mail hell. However you will find from my phone number a very large number of re-dials on your 800 number, so the fun of driving up your 800 number phone bill kind of made the frustration of actually trying to contact your firm worthwhile."

After "Lens Doctor" did arrive, the fine print that was not on their sales web site stated, "Not for use on coated lenses" How many lenses are not coated nowadays? Mine were, so the product after it did arrive was totally worthless and non-returnable. One last thing, I tried it on a non-coated set of lenses just to test it; didn't work.
