I, too, was taken in by this scam. Just like the other people who have filed reports on this site, I also received the "free" offer email in my inbox for a "free trial" of Phenterthin. I was only supposed to be responsible for the $4.95 shipping charges pertaining to my single bottle of product.
BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TO USE MY AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD, I THOUGHT THE OFFER MUST BE LEGITIMATE!!! I was wrong. I was charged the $149.95 like everone else, and when I filed a dispute claim with American Express, they reviewed the charges and decided in favor of Dietpillsusa!!!
The letter from American Express says that "they have enclosed the copy of the letter, order details, USPS tracking details and package information provided by the merchant.
I have re-opened the dispute with them and I am sending them information from this site to back up my claim. I have stated that if they won't refund my money, then at least they should stop allowing Dietpillsusa to accept their credit card. I believe they need to do this to protect the reputation of their own company.
I will now file with the BBB in Oklohoma City as suggested by "complaint."
If only I had seen this site before punching in my credit card number! But we who are feeling desperate about losing a few pounds get pulled in, unfortunately. This is what they count on and why weight loss is such a gigantic industry.
By the way, I never even took the pills. How could I possibly trust the product?!
