In February I took a trial offer for teeth cleaning packet for $3.95 from Whiteovernite. It was trash worth nothing. So I did not re-order. 3 months later they sent me 2 packages and charged my credit card 2 X $106.90, in total of $213.80. I returned both packages UNOPENED by USPS, disputed the charges with my credit card company (Capital One), and they gave me credit. I went abroad from June through August. When I returned in August, there was a letter from my credit company requesting more info to be sent to them by September 21, '06. I faxed it to them on Sept. 19 and they recorded having received it. But they refused to give me credit, saying that the dates have expired and can't do anything.
I want to pay off the account and close but cannot, because I have $214 plus $27 over limit charges outstanding on the account. I do not want to pay for something I did not order, did not use, returned to the merchant intact. I tried calling various numbers I found online, but they all led to dead end.
