I filed a grievance report with the Western Dental Corporate office in Orange over a year ago and the grievance has not been resolved despite repeated correspondence.
FIVE OF NINE FILLINGS HAD TO BE REDONE TWICE (total of 3 times):
I received dental treatment from the western dental office located in Santa Clarita california in October/ November. The restorations were performed negligently.
Of the nine teeth restored, five fillings had to be redone twice (three times total). Each time they gave a different excuse (that the dental assistant had negligently failed to properly cure the filing material or that decay had been left behind post-restoration which was causing pain and needed to be re-repaired.)
DECAY NOT COMPLETELY REMOVED BEFORE TEETH WERE TREATED WITH FILLINGS:
In November I visited the San Fernando Valley Western Dental Office. After x-rays were taken, Dr. Natalie stated that decay had been left behind by my last treating dentist. She quickly retracted her statement when she learned that these teeth had been restored just a year ago by a fellow western dental dentist at a different location. Pursuant to the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry, Resin fillings (white fillings) should last 3-5 years. Also, during my 2006 visit, Dr. Natalie informed me of a new decay in tooth #3.
TOOTH CHIPED WITH DRILL AND HOLE LEFT UNTREATED:
I decided to seek treatment from a private dentist. The private dentist first assumed that I had had a small filling in tooth #3 which had fallen out. After reviewing my dental history, he stated that there was evidence of drilling where enamel had been removed. That the enamel was not worn away by grinding or clenching and in all probability the Western Dental Dentist in 2005 must have negligently, while working on surrounding teeth, bumped tooth #3 with the drill and left the resulting chip and hole untreated which now has suffered a two surface decay. I had to pay $100 to have this tooth repaired.
Decay had been left behind in tooth 4,5 and 13 as stated above. Their own Dentist also stated that the decay was left behind. I had to pay $360 to have the fillings re-done in just a year.
Every tooth that Dr. Haykaz worked on has had to be re-repaired. To resolve this problem, I want to be credited for the charge of $1037.00 charged to my credit card in 2005 and for for Western Dental to cover the cost of repair required to fix the mistakes and resulting damage caused by Dr. Haykaz's negligence. This amount is $460.00 paid in 2006 to repair the negligent work by Dr. Haykaz in 2005.
