I have had short term disability coverage with aflac for one year and am pregnant. I was told by the sales agent when I signed up that this would "take care of me when I was unable to work during my pregnancy and maternity leave" I was also told that the claim would be very easy and that it would only take 4 days to process.
It has been almost a month of me jumping through burning hoops and they keep finding loopholes and excuses not to pay my claim. They last sent me a new claim form with everything highlighted that I needed filled out from my doctor, I had her fill it out exactly as they said and I sent it in. Now they say I am missing something else. AFLAC short term disability is a rip off.
Now they are telling me I can only get payment for the time AFTER I deliver the baby. I am so sick of it and out of money since they refuse to pay. But I continue to pay them bi weekly, for what?
