We bought what was sold to be a medical insurance policy to replace our prior medical insurance due to our coverages were constanly decreassed. The agent spent several hours in my questions and confirming that the policy being sold to our family was what we were looking for. Never had a need for the policy until October when my husband had an accident that requires Durable Medical Goods (brace), Physical Therapy & an impending surgery to his knee.
Our provider was told by the insurance company that there was no coverage. I spent over two weeks trying to even get a call back. Once we were able to speak to someone they are telling us that this policy is a Suplimental Policy. It is not even a medical policy! We paid every month only to find out that this Company is not worth their agents word and that their policy is not worth the paper it is printed on.
I am so frustrated with the fact that Companies can RIP people off in such a fashion and nothing seems to stop them. We will be moving to litigation for the mere Principle of this type of service. These companies should be regulated on all levels and not just state levels. They sell policies that are lies and stealing people's hard earned money. They are making themselves rich and no consideration as to the devistation this will cause a family once the bills come back DENIED!
