I went to the ballys in altamonte springs fl today. It is just north or orlando and talked to a guy named Jim. I told him I was interested in joining a gym but wanted the 1999 special with no sign up fees and he just ignored me and started telling me that there was a sign up fee and that while taking me all around the center that the best thing for me is the super value plan at 4999 plus tax with a 90 starter fee. That was I could use the gym anywhere and anytime I wanted. Blah blah blah.
I tried telling him that I didn't need all that and that I had to drive 35 miles to get there and it wouldnt be an everyday thing. Needless to say that he lied about there being a membership fee on the value plan 1999 program I felt pressured and lied to and after i came home and talked it over with my spouse and we decided that he was lying. My partner called and pretended to be someone asking about the membership and on speakerphone he told him that there was no signup fee on the 1999 value plan but kept going off in other directions and trying to mislead him.
I also felt that while i was there that he played me acting like he was into me since i was gay and working me like a real loser. I am trying to work it out with the management and will follow up later this week..
