I'm not sure which scam is worse, but I was legitimately searching for a way to earn some extra money from home through my computer. I read and researched many search engines to verify that signing on to do online surveys was a legitimate source of income.
As part of the process of completing surveys was opting to receive "free samples"... I should have know better when on the website it said that I was "required" to give my bank or credit card info and be part of a monthly autoship/autopay program. One that "could be cancelled at any time". So I figured I would go ahead, get the free sample and then cancel...
Not with LeanLookRx. I have called, emailed, left messages, asked for followups, several times all with no response. I paid $3.95 for the shipping of the samples. I had $106.90 withdrawn from my checking account after I notified them that I was cancelling the autopay and autoship program... As far as I'm concerned the withdrawal was illegal and should not have been processed.
I received the monthly supply today and called NovaPointe, LLC after getting their telephone number from their web site. The person I spoke to was very nice, but told me that LeanLookRx was not at that address and that they were a fulfillment (shipper) company. I advised them that as far as I was concerned that LeanLookRx, NovaPointe, LLC and FUlfillment (who shipped the sample) were all listed at that address and so that was where I was returning the product. She said I would get it back because the 2060 E Francis Street address was not a valid address for LeanLookRx. Well, I'm sending it back regardless because I don't believe a word she says. I told her she should contact her customer and advise them that the product was being returned.
This gal gave me a "customer service" phone number which is the same one as on their web site. The telephone number I call (951-833-4436) is a cell phone and either the message box is full or it's out of range.
My feeling is that this is someone who has set up an online store through the NovaPointe, LLC web site and the orders go right to the NovaPointe, LLC database and the order is processed, the money is withdrawn from the account given by the "customer" and the money is autopaid into the subscribers account...
This is a very big scam. I am putting a claim in through my bank to the bank who withdrew the $106.90 and I am closing my current checking account and opening a new one so the next time that LeanLookRx tries to take money the account will be closed. I do not intend to let this continue...
I also searched on Google and found a few blogs of people selling LeanLookRx. I am going on all their blogs and letting them know the scam and what I think of it.
