Ballys Total Fitness
Ripoff Ballys Total Fitness did not honor my orignial contract and has increased by dues every year. I only use equipment now as bathroom is so dirty i can't use it anymore. Corporate

I joined Ballys (was called Holiday Health Spa/Jack Lalains) in the 1980's when I was working at Hughes Aircraft. They offer me a non-increasing membership for $84.00 a year charter member.

It remained that amount for several years and the club was great at that time. I have paid them for over 20 years and watched the club in Fullerton, California at Harbor become so dirty I no longer use the bathroom. The instructors are incompetent. I only use equipment.

They now ask me to pay 155.00 per year. I argue with them every year and they have reduced the amount for some years.

This year I was supposed to pay and I again tried to get them to honor my original contract. They say they cannot locate it and since I cannot (at this time) locate it my dues will increase every year just like a new member.

I could not reach them on the phone by by renewal date which they offered a $125. Oo renewal so they now say I must pay $240 if I want to renew

I would like to bring legal action but don't know if it is worth it.
