I took my son to get his hair cut at Smart Style located in our local Walmart. Once seated I told the stylist that I wanted his hair trimmed around the ears and neck and the top evened out (about 1/2 inch off) so his length would not be significantly shortened. I requested she use a razor only to even out the length so he did not get a choppy effect from scissors. She agreed that baby cuts were easier with a razor.
I was very descriptive and made sure she understood exactly what I wanted done before I let her cut.
She took out a buzz clipper. I told her no because it would cut too short. She said she would only use it to trim around his ears.
The next thing I knew she was running the buzzer up to the top of his head. His hair normally 4 inches long was reduced to 1 inch! I told her "No! That's too much! I said only take off 1/2 inch!" She said it was too late to fix because she had already taken off a long strip of hair.
So she had to buzz his entire head of baby locks down to a buzzed 1 inch. He looked terrible! And to top it off she kept grasping him tightly by the chin and forcing his head down so she could clip.
She did not listen to what I wanted done. She only used the clippers because it would be faster for her to just shave it all off then to actually trim it right! Where does 1/2 inch become "just shave it all off?" I will never take my son back there!
