I admit to being stupid enough to order a sample over the internet and to assume that an email to cancel all further membership was enough. Their ad was with the Publishers Clearing House letter I responded to. I assumed (stupid) that they had been investigated.
The email was not responded to. Ultra Life Fitness withdrew $44.90 the first of the following month. I called: no answer. I emailed three days in a row. Each time the site responded that I would be contacted within 24 hours. I was not contacted at all. On the 18th of the month they withdrew another $24.00. (Total to date is $68.90.) I have sent registered letters... No response. I have now contacted the Better Business Bureau, the Department of Consumer Affairs and usacomplaints.com.Com.
If something is not done VERY soon, I will mortgage my house to begin legal action. I am on a pension and $69.90 is a great deal of money to me.
