Cigarrest
Ripoff and fraud

I decided that it was time to quit smoking and cigarrest would be the first step after seeing their ads on TV. I filled out the online form. I expected to have a couple of "offers" to increase the cost during that time but I rejected them.

My account was charged immediately. A week later, I still hadn't received my products so I called to inquire about it. The lady I spoke with assured me that it would go out within the week.

First off, a smoker who's in withdrawl is NOT the kind of person to annoy and I was already getting to this point.

Finally, the package arrived. Now I'm not a scientist or a lab tech, but reading the ingredients... Let's just say it all looks and awful lot like multivitamins and sugarpills. It's amazing what the human mind can do.

Then my card was charged again just 2 weeks in. The first charge was for $10 this charge was for $90. I was suppose to get 30 days for $1 plus shipping. Where in the @#$% did this come from? Every 2 weeks after this I was charged either $40 or $90 and when I inquired about it it was for gum (that I didn't order, nor received) and the vitamins and placebo.

I called and cancelled everything, and was given a cancellation number. I thought all was done.

2 weeks later, I was charged again for $40 and 2 days later, I was charge $90. The funds weren't in the account used as that account only has money put in it to pay for things I'm expecting. So 2 NSF charges hit me. I only noticed this activity AFTER I deposited money for my monthly bills that were coming due in a few days.

So now my account is $175 in the red and the deposit won't cover that. Bills come in, and low and behold, I'm now $400 in the hole due to NSF charges.

If there's a lawyer out there that wants to sue these people. Put me on your list, I'll be HAPPY to give you any and all information I have.

The rest of you... Consider other options and nothing that says "as seen on TV". Not only are those products usually a scam, but the companies will rip you off thinking that either the person won't notice it, or just let it go instead of dealing with the phone issues.
