CigArrest using the name LOVINGESSENTIALS has attempted to debit $69.00 to my debit card once a week for the last 3 weeks. However these charges have been declined due to lack of funds (this is a prepaid card and I only put money on it when I plan to use it to pay an online bill).
Back in Sept I placed an order for Cigarrest and was suppose to be charged only for the shipping and handleing. After reading the ad closer I noticed that I would be automaticly charged 69.00 after the 30 day trial and charged this again every 3 months. I proceeded to call the company and cancel my order of their free trial. I was assured that no charges will be debited to my account. However within 2 days of the 30 day trial being over my account was debited 69.84.
I contacted the company and explained to them that I had never received the order because I had canceled the free 30 day trial within minutes of placing the order. They assured me that the matter would be taken care of and my debit card would be issued a credit for the amount of 69.84, which was done within 7 days.
Now after 2 1/2 months have gone by since that credit my account is being debited again and again. Thank goodness I hadn't put funds on my prepaid. However I did notice that this company begin trying to debit my account on the same day that the IRS begin accepting income tax filings online. I'm sure they know that alot of people are having their income tax refunds directly deposited to their bank accounts and there fore they are hitting as many cards as they can over and over until a fee goes through. My state refund is due to be deposited on this debit card and I'm sure this company will keep debiting my card until they get some money out of me. I can not change the info on my state refund for my deposit information and can not cancel my card until my refund is deposited.
Word to the wise, open a seperate new account (make it a savings account) for your tax refunds to be deposited to or you may see charges like these over and over on your account if you have ever given your account number to any company to order something.
