Dr. Roy C. Blake, Prosthodontist was not honest, ethical or competent in my dental treatments.
I published my dental tradedgy at (see link below) to teach the public why they need to give informed consent with dental tratments.
Dr. Blake placed a 5-unit bridge in my lower left jaw (I was missing a tooth that I never had). He did not tell me that there was risk involved in his dental treatment. There was significant risk.
I ended up with 2 root canals on the back teeth. He did not follow up (x-rays). My bridge broke and destroyed my healthy teeth. He then referred me to an oral surgeon, Dr. Richard Kaplan, to place 2 implants. Dr. Blake was responsible to make sure that the implants were done correctly. He did not.in fact, he sent me to Kaplan when he normally refers to Dr. Stuart Feldman.
My 2 implants were not placed correctly (depth or size) for restoration. I ended up having the back one removed and I am now treating with another dentist that is skilled and competent for placing dental implants.
Dr. Blake told me "it is your fault your bridge broke. You grind your teeth". I am not a teeth grinder as verified by other dentists.
To date, almost $20,000 has been spent in my lower left jaw. My future dental work is approx. $70,000-$100,000.

Dr. Blake has now left his practice after 20 years, Palm Beach Prosthodontics, and is working with Dr. Maria Cole (200 Butler St. West Palm Beach) and his own office at (200 S. Central Blvd., Jupiter FL).
