Once you receive your packet from Avlis, you will see that it is a vacation packet, along with an application for a credit card, not the guaranteed card you were expecting. On the bottom of the vacation reservation sheet, it says you have so many days to return the complete packet (the address is in Fort Lauderdale, FL). Send the complete packet back, I made sure that I had a delivery confirmation, so I could check to see that it was received.
After you get the confirmation that they have received the packet, contact the customer service phone number for Avlis (keep calling until someone answers the phone - may take a while, but they do answer). Let them know that you sent the packet back, and that you have a delivery confirmation as to when they received it. Request that they put in for a refund immediately!
I also put in a request for the taped conversation that went on at the time I received their call. She said that she put in a request, but I'm sure she didn't. I told her that I would be contacting Avlis in a couple days to see the status of my refund. I'll let you know what happens.
