On August 10 I ordered a bedroom set that included 8 pieces and paid on the spot more than $7100. As the sales clerk checked on availability, she pointed to the inventory screen and said they would be two items they'd have special order (headboard and media cabinet). She stated the other items were available but these two would not be in until the week of September 9th. Since I'd just paid for the delivery, I said I could wait until all the items were in stock and could be delivered at one time.
Fast forward to the first week in September when the sales clerk called to say my items were still coming across the Pacific from China, and oh by the way, this shipment was for ALL the items not just the special items. She said they had no idea when the boat would dock, items clear customs, get shipped to Salt Lake City, then back across three states to Rocklin, CA, so she couldn't tell me what delivery would be. I was very upset because when I placed the order she'd stood in front of her terminal and pointed out what they had on hand... What happened to those items I asked? Well, that's when the two-faced lying started.
First she said, yes she'd pointed to the available items, but that didn't mean they were really available...???!!! WTF??? So now she says the entire purchase had to be ordered from CHINA!!! I asked to speak with her manager - Leslie.
Leslie calls and I started to ask her the hard questions - Why was I told and SHOWN available items if in fact they weren't available? Why was everything on a boat from China? And the hardest to answer - When could I expect full delivery? Leslie said she'd get back to me.
Well, I won't bore you with the numerous calls and excuses, but I can tell you most of the items are being delivered tomorrow; weeks late, but the order won't be complete. It seems the original "special order" items are still on a slowwww boat from China. Might show up by middle of October, might not...
Oh and by the way, RC Willey was paid up front and in full for this purchase. I'd never bought from them before because I didn't live near a store and before I bought, I Googled complaints just to be on the safe side and still got burned. Don't set a foot in their doors if you want honesty and dependable service - They don't know what that is.
