My 85 year old WWII veteran father and 82 wheelchair bound mother purchased an air-conditioner from Conn's in May. They also purchased the service contract.
The unit stopped working on August 5. Conn's sent 2 service techs on August 8. They could not fix the unit and said they would have to order parts that may take 7 days to come in.
With temperatures reaching 104 in San Antonio, I placed numerous phone calls to Conn's service department begging them to send a replacement unit until they could fix this one. They refused. They said they did not have a loaner unit available. Even after I informed them that the nurse and home health care worker won't come to see my parents because of the heat in the house they still said "no".
My parents will be dead by the time they fix this unit!
