I have a family member that is very sick he has seizures which they do not come everyday but that do happen, well the managers i work for has all been told about this and as long as i have a doctors excuss i would be fine. Well on march 30th i called out of work due to this problem but i gave a 12hours notice so they would have someone there to replace me. I called both manager and general manager with this notice and told them i would have my doctors excuss for this, well the general manager told me that was fine he would take me off the schuled for 3 weeks well i did not need this i am a single mother i wenhtto the general manager and tried to reason with him but he told me he had a place of business to run and i do undedrstand that i do not call out of work all the time and i think i may have had to leave 3 time because of this in the year i have been there and when i was put on 1st shift only 1 time and i returned to work when i knew everything was fine to finish my shift. Well i also know of an employee there who call out of a shift that moring without a notice and nothing was done and she returned to work with out a droctors excussand nothing was said or done. Thats what i call unfairly treated or discrmation
