Ipad Disaster - customer service

I went into Best Buy this evening to buy and Ipad wifi / 3g. After picking out the device I wanted, the cover, the photo coverter, I got to the counter and they were supposed to set up my AT&T account. The consultant would not set me up but kept trying to get me to buy an "air card". I must have told him 10 times that I didn't want an aircard because that came with a 2 yr agreement with AT&T and the monthly fee was $50.00 instead of the regular 3G fee of $30.00. He finally told me that what I was buying was obsolete and that I should wait until the Ipad 3 came out. I left the store without buying anything from them. I will buy an Ipad, just not from Best Buy.
