Uses bait and switch tactics on consumers

Not too long ago, I decided I was going to start a new phone account with AT&T. There were not many other decent retailers in my area, and a Best Buy had just opened locally, so I decided to give them a shot.

I called ahead of time knowing precisely what device I want, that being a Pantech Burst. I phoned the store ahead of time to confirm the device was in stock and not discontinued. The representative on the other end responded affirmatively. At this point I went into the store to have what I wanted done. I felt something wrong with the fact I had to wait 45 minutes, at which point a "representative" actually noticed me and asked me what I wanted done. He had an arrogant and apathetic attitude toward me.

I told him what I want and he responded, telling me the device I want is out of stock. I ask, just to make sure it really was out of stock. I waited another 10 minutes before he came back and told me it was in fact out of stock. He hesitated and suggested I buy a $250 device that I knew didn't even have HSPA. I think about what he is doing for a moment, realise he is using the bait-and-switch tactic, then rush out of the store.
