I recently switched to DirectTV after 9 years with the local cable company. At time of signing the contract at the BestBuy store in Melbourne, FL, I was told that I would save $100 or $10/mo for 10 months by getting a friends' referral. He would also receive the same savings.
During activation, I spoke to the DirectTV rep and gave her the info to get the referral going. She said I had to do it through their website, but would make sure that she put a note in my account to provide the credit. I filled out the web form for both accounts.
This was in april, over 5 months ago. Still have not received credits dispite 2-3 calls. They now tell me that it is too late. I am ready to cancel and/or sue for breach of contract and go back to my cable company.
