In 2000 we moved from Syracuse, NY to Fort Walton FL
Got Alltel worked great in the apartment we were in. Bought a house in the boonies and no service what so ever.
Signed a two year aggrement which was ok by me.
Sometime while I was still under contrat I went to the Fort Walton Beach, FL Alltel store and couldn't get waited on. The employees there were rude and didn't want to give me service. Was it because I'm fat? I'm not perfect It shouldn't matter. I'm a paying customer and should be treated good. What a crappy experience that was.
Now we live in a house with no Alltel service. Moved out of the apartment in Jan. What a thrill to get out of Fort Walton Beach and into an area that has some peace and quiet. Long commute drive though but that's what you get for living in the country.
So in April I canceled my service because I didn't have service at my new house. Called to cancel and they told me there was a $400 dollar fee. Please note our aggrement was DONE. $200.00 per phone) and we were NOT under contract. Called again after getting ANOTHER bill for $200.00 they lowered it to $20.00
A few days ago I got a "credit" for $35.00 I called and told them "this wasn't a credit sir I said ok and hung up
Later on the same day called back and the lady (she sounded like she was from India) would cut me a check.
Gurr.
I still wait for my check. With the holiday coming and all I'll hold until a few weeks.
After that a letter to their Corporate Office will be in order.
What BS I went through
