Bait and Switch waits until you are scheduled before informing you have to pay additional fees

Ordered the new exede high speed satelite internet through ViaSat and they sent the order to John Whitford Communications for installation. ViaSat charges an installation fee of $149.00 which is the current promotion and stated it was all inclusive. I receive a call from John Whitford and was informed that if I wanted to get the installation I would have to pay an additional $99.99 installation fee (almost doubling the installation fee). I said ViaSat said the installation fee was already included, and Mr. Whitford responded (very rudely) that he does not have to go by what they charge and he could charge what he wanted (this guy is a peice of work, he thinks he has the rural area covered and can make up his own rules). I contacted ViaSat and informed them of the additional charge and ViaSat told me not to pay the additional fee and to have Mr. Whitford contact them to negotiate any additional fee, which I thought was reasonable. I contacted Mr. Whitford and informed him he should contact ViaSat to negotiate the additional fee. The response I got from Mr. Whitford was SHOCKING!!! His response was " I am refusing your installation order due to you not accepting my additional installation charge " WOW this was truly astounding, this guy does not care about customer satisfaction, if he even knows what the term means.

I have filed a complaint with ViaSat and an investigation is currently underway, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB on unfair business practices by not disclosing fees and charges upfront at the time of order and have also requested John Whitford Communications be removed as an authorized dealer for both WildBlue and ViaSat.

I caution anyone from doing business with John Whitford Communications without carefully researching all details of the transaction. There are other dealers in the area that are much more customer focused
