I purchased a Coby 26" LCD TV at the Veterans Canteen Gift Shop on January 7. On September 3, the TV made a "pop" noise, and quit working. I searched on the internet for Coby, and discovered a complaint site where every consumer who has bought a Coby TV has the same defect; a "pop" sound and the TV quits working. Coby makes it nearly impossible to ship the TV back for repairs, asking too much of a consumer, and local TV repair shops cannot fix them either. A TV is a major purchase and should last more than 8 months. The company needs to admit to the defect, and give all consumers with the same defect a free repair, and they should pay the shipping also.
