Return Policy is corrupt and not explicitly stated for consumers

I ordered replacement ink cartridges on line from the Epson Store. My printer broke 2 days later and no one could assist in trouble shooting so essentially I have to buy a new one. The printer is only 1.5 years old.

I received the replacement cartridges and immeadiately phoned customer service to return them. I also pulled two other brand new color cartridges (still in their original packaging, un-opened and not expired) that I had for the printer that I wanted to return as well since they were of no use to me.

The Epson representative told me that their return policy is 30 days and there was nothing she could do. She placed me on hold for several minutes and when she returned gave me the authorization number to return the cartridges (less shipping costs which I was out) and then stated they could offer me a cupon for 2 ink cartridges on the purchase of my next Epson printer since I needed to purchase a new one. I declined the "generous" offer.

I double checked the web site for their "return policy" and found nothing regarding this 30 day rule.
