LG Accessories Rebate Incorrectly claiming I did not submit receipt. Sending notification without ample time to reply

Purchased LG equipment at Fry's with a rebate.

Sent all material and forms to "Advertising Checking Bureau."
After nearly two months, received a note (dated a month earlier) stating I didn't include the receipt.
(Which is incorrect. I have my copies of what went in the envelope.)

They want an answer "within 30 days". Because of the back-dated letter, it is impossible to respond within 30 days of the date on the letter, but I've responded well within 30 days of receiving the letter.

I suspect they will deny the claim stating that I'm responding "too late."

What a scam.
