I've had a plumber out twice and also the Maytag service-man once. They both stated that all newer automatic washers have larger water pumps and vacant the water also quickly for many 2" pipes to deal with which I'd need to clear my drain frequently or substitute it having a 3" strain.
Easily might have recognized this I'd never purchased a brand new Maytag.
I'd recommend anybody who's considering a brand new washer to maintain his previous device so long as feasible or anticipate to spend a plumber frequently.
