I was approached by two men in a white dodge truck w / California plates on greenfield & baseline. They said they had just come from the warehouse where they picked up an order for 6 home theater systems, but the loader didn't speak english & had given them 10 by mistake. They said they were trying to sell the "extra" ones to make a little cash.
They had a very elaborate setup. They had a catalog with the item marked @ $2499 MSRP. They even had the same MSRP price stamped on the box. They said there was a warranty# with it which he wrote on the back of his "business" card.
My gut told me not to even pull over, but I was afraid they would follow me if I didn't. Yet again my gut told me not to even buy into their bullsh*t, butI stupidly gave him $300 for the piece of sh*t! Thinking I could turn around & sell it on eBay for 1/2 the MSRP & make a little bit of money.
My husband opened the box when I got home to find only speakers. Without an amp I have no way to even power the damn things, so I am not only out $300, but I can't even get any use out of them myself.
The guy is about 5'10" tall w / sandy blonde hair. The other man has dark brown or black hair & is heavier set. They were driving a white dodge or chevy full size truck w / California plates.
