I requested a remanufactured copier/fax/scanner. Was very clear what I wanted. Both my secretary and I were told that this is the machine that we would need for all functions.
Machine was delivered without fax hardward. Called the seller, they could get it for $200 additional dollars. I called the manager that I had originally talked to about my needs. He was going to take care of it. He remembered what I requested. Apologized. Not a problem, he would get back to me.
He called me back 20 minutes later. If he could find the parts, the fax hardware would cost me $900. I of course refused, as every other printer I have has this technology.
He apologized again, re-iterating that he knew from the beginning that I wanted all 3 functions, but didn't realize this machine didn't have it.
I, of course, told him that I would not use his company in the future for additional machines. He said he would try to do everything to change my mind. (really?)
