I was at a gas station and two guys in a white van pulled up to me and asked if we wanted to buy a suround sound system. I asked how much and the driver pulled over and showed me the merchandise.
He claimed that his boss had fired him and his friend who were on consignment but got these systems by mistake. He also claimed his boss was an a*hole and did not want to return them, so he was selling them.
He even handed us the invoice, which I still have. He then told me he had sold one for $1000 that day. The box advertised the system at $1999.00. I told him I would give him $200 and he agreed.
Later on further reflection I assumed I had been scammed and looked up the system on the net. I found this site that verified the scam. They go by Justin and Malachi. Justin is a blond caucasian male. About 21 and 5'9'. Malachi is an African American male about 5'8' same age. They claimed they had just moved down from washington.
