On June 11 in front of the Circuit City parking lot in the city of Industry on Gale Ave, I was approached by a caucasian, middle aged, male who told me that his company ordered too many "Digital Pro Audio Home entertainment sound systems" and that he had a few extra he wanted to sell. He told me his price was $300 but showed me an ad that claimed the system was worth $1500, I got him down to $160.
When I got home my wife and I looked up the system on the internet and found that I had been taken. My wife pointed out that "if it sounds too good to be true" it probably means it isn't the real thing. Nothing is that simple and it is better to buy from a reputable company that you can return a product to rather than a complete stranger selling from his white toyota tacoma pick-up truck. Hopefully this helps prevent someone else from falling for this scam.
