I bought the monitor in January of this year and sent the rebate in the same day (the rebate was for a nontrivial amount of $160!!). Months later I looked up my rebate on wheresmyrebate.com, as it said to do on the receipt. The website said the rebate had been mailed out.
Several weeks later (still no rebate) I called the company. They said it had been mailed out. When I told them I hadn't received it, they told me to give it more time. Weeks later still, no rebate - so I called again. They said the rebate was returned via the post office (no explanation) and said they would send out a new one, taking 7 to 10 business days.
That was in early May. It is now June 25th and I called again today. They NOW say that the new rebate won't be sent out until July 29th, giving no explanation for the delay. Whenever I ask to speak to a supervisor I get transfered to voicemail.
This company is nothing but Rebatescam Inc. I will be looking into ways to do bad things to them (legally, of course).
On the bright side (for me) I called Best Buy regarding this and they are being extremely accommodating and professional. They gave me a number of their own internal rebate center, and the rep there is going to send me out a replacement rebate for $160. They are aware of how poorly TCA is operating and want to make it up to their customers. All I need to do is fax them a copy of my receipt. This has left me very impressed with Best Buy's customer service.
