Just as all the others have reported I bought a camera from deltacamera.com for a "low" price. The next day they call and ask if I want to add the battery to the order along with other accessories that usually come with the camera by default. They wanted to up the price by $100 for the battery, the charger and a carrying case. We just bought the camera at a local store and it comes with those already in the box. I asked the rep why do I have to buy them separate and he said he can give it to be for a "packaged deal". He said if I order the camera by itself it would take 4-5 weeks to ship because they don't have it stock but later said if I get the packaged deal ($100 extra than what the price was online) I could get the camera in 4 days!!! I questioned that too and he got huffy with me and said he can "cancel the order if I want. It didn't matter to him, he'd still be a millionaire without my order." I laughed and told him I'd be happy to help out with his journey and to definitely cancel my order.
Do not waste your time with this company. I have found other reports online saying these same tactics were used. They are rude and pushy and have false claims on their website about the company...
"We Stock: Unlike many online retailers, DeltaCamera.com stocks." — Not according to the rep I talked to!
"Customer Service: At DeltaCamera.com we continually strive to ensure our customers receive a high level of service." — That was their idea of high level of service?
"If you haven't purchased with DeltaCamera.com, give us a try. We'd be proud to add you to our growing list of satisfied customers." — That list has to be so short my 1 yr old can count them!
