Unfortunately, there has been no improvement in sales management at lcddigital. Tv. They still are the nicest people that will constantly lie to you with a smile.
I've tried for 3 weeks now to simply order an 8.4" portable ATSC tv for the huricane season. They promised the product would ship last week in an email correspondence, but when the product still didn't ship, I emailed them again politely asking the status. That was 5 days ago. They still haven't answered my email. They obviously don't care. Or, maybe they were only after my credit card info to begin with.
The only time I've ever gotten any meaningful live assistance from lcddigital. Tv is when I placed the original order via telephone 3 weeks ago. She was very nice and prompt when asking for my credit card info. She NEVER made any indication at all that they were running behind at the time I ordered. But, I've also called their phone number several times since then to check status to no avail. Mostly, I only get voice mail now. Whenever I do actually speak to someone, they can never give me the order status, but they always promise to call back with info and they never do. Their chronic excuse is that they are so backlogged with orders for their great products that they are running "a little behind". Sorry, but 3 weeks is more than a little. Particularly when their website advertises that most products ship within one day. They have broken every promise made to me. They still refuse to give me ANY info on when to expect shipment, saying only that they won't bill until the product ships.
Today, I tried calling again. This time, their mailbox is full (it's no wonder). Since their products are so expensive, you would think they can afford more staffing to answer the phone. But I guess they would rather dump on their customers so they can put more money into their own pocket by way of customer neglect. So, it seems that a few extra bucks to them is actually worth the betrayal to their customers.
So, I'll help them to get caught up: I ask everyone to stop buying their products, since you'll never know when (or if) your product will ever be billed and/or shipped anyway. That way, they will have PLENTY of time to attend to their backlog of furious customers and think about how to revamp their business model.
At this point, huricane season is fast approaching, and I need an ATSC compliant tv NOW. I'll buy any other competitors product, even if I have to pay more, simply to deny lcddigital. Tv my business. I would love to tell them to cancel my order, but their live assistance is useless and my last email went unanswered.
So, I'll post in this online forum and email them a copy to read and they can reply in this forum. But If they now attempt to charge my credit card and force a shipment at some unknown future date merely at their sole convenience, I will consider it as a fraudulent charge. They are NOT authorized to charge my card.
I would have loved to help out an american company like lcddigital. Tv (at least their profits are made in America), but sadly, they are a typical example of why American businesses are in trouble. They seem to think that the goal is to make as much money for themselves by failing their customers for as long as they can get away with it, until the public catches on. That's a poor business model that I will not reward. I'll just go to rxxxx sxxxx instead (sigh).
