Last Sunday I made a call with my pre-paid T-mobile phone. As I could not reach my party I tried a call back about 10 minutes later only to find my phone was non functional. I snet several e mails to customer serice - after 4 hours with no reply I borrowed a friends cell and called customer service. I got a rep who barely spoke English. I asked to be transferred to someone I could understand and got disconnected. I called back and got someone whos English was even worse. I again asked to be transfered and again got disconnected. I waited until Monday and went to the Clackamas office. I got a great young lady who really tried to help. First they tried to tell me I had switched to a monthly plan and had transfered my phone number. Obviously, I had not done that as I don't live in Washington and my name didn't even match the person who was given my phone number. The serice person could not explain how or why this happened. The young lady I was working with tried to get my number and phone service restored. The service department refused saying they need to contact the person who had fraudulently obtained my number. It didn't make sense to me and it didn't make sense to her. They said my service would be restored in 24 to 72 hours.
24 hours passed - no service. 72 hours passed no service. I called the store and they said they would call back in an hour. No one called. I called today and they said they would call back in 10 minutes. There was no call back. I waited 2 hours and went to the store. The young lady I had dealt with previously was off. I had to got through the entire explanation again. The young man was quite rude and it was obvious he didnt care if he helped or not. He went through the motions and put me on the line with a customer service rep in the service department who said there was nothing they could do until they reached the party who now had the number. This is the party would got the number fradulently. I explained to him what they did was illegal. There was nothing but silence. I asked him when my service would be restored -there was nothing but silence. Wonderful customer service! I started checking and found that there have been 325 complaints filed against T-mobile in Washington and Oregon for various issues in just the last 3 months. Obviously a company to avoid. I am going back tomorrow a will try to get a refund for my phone and unused minutes. I am sure that will happen.
My advise is to avoid this company. They are garbage.
