I needed internet for my collage classes but was having difficulty getting any of my local providers to service me so I called Hughesnet. I opted for the 79.99$ dollars a month homepackage plus. Hughesnet turned down my good credit and forced me to buy the equipment (satellite, modem, ect.)
They charged me a total of 640.00 dollars, charging me for installation twice (installation fee, Hughes net installation fee) even though they advertise free installation on there website.
I agreed to plan that Hughesnet reassured me was a good plan and signed me into a two year contract, The internet is completely unusable.
The fact that these thieves are even allowed to solicit there services in this country are prime examples of why everyone's broke here in America now.
The consumer advocates in both there state and my state were completely worthless in helping me in anyway, too.
